Job Description:
A company is looking for an Ombudsman to provide advocacy and
equitable resolutions for student issues.
Key Responsibilities
Creates and implements a strategic vision for the Office of
Ombudsman
Acts as a primary contact for students appealing departmental
decisions and guides them through the grievance process
Identifies trends in student complaints and collaborates with
departments to develop mitigation initiatives
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
Terminal degree required
Minimum of five years of management or leadership experience
Conflict resolution and/or mediation skills and experience
Knowledge of federal, state, and accreditation regulations
applicable to the education industry (ADA, Title IX, FERPA,
etc.)
Experience with data collection and reporting to support
data-driven decision making
